Established Ottawa-based law firm, Rasmussen Starr Ruddy LLP (RSR) is pleased to announce Christopher J. Hunt as Partner. Chris has been with the firm since 2012, where his practice has focussed on civil litigation with an emphasis on construction and commercial disputes. He is a dedicated advocate, who is devoted to the growth of the firm and the clients it serves.
In his capacity as Partner, Chris understands the importance of protecting and enhancing the firm’s hard-earned reputation. This is a serious responsibility which includes responding to the challenges facing many small businesses in the current climate, and developing measures geared towards securing key advantages. Benefitted by a storied history of lawyers who laid out markers guiding the firm’s success, Chris is looking forward to the opportunity to carve out the latest direction of RSR.
“Becoming a partner with the firm is a tremendous privilege,” says Christopher Hunt, “This is a firm which has played an enormous role in my professional development, and like all formative relationships, it required a tireless commitment. Part of that commitment involved understanding the difference between what ‘I wanted to hear’ and what ‘I needed to hear’. That was a standard which resonated with me and underpins the committed advocacy I strive to deliver for our clients, one that is equally relentless and honest.”
The Partners look forward to the unique ideas and fresh perspective that Chris will bring to the management of the firm.
The addition of Christopher to the RSR leadership team is a great asset to both our organization, as well as our clients. Having spent his entire legal career with the firm, Chris has a deep understanding of RSR’s values and client-first approach. Backed by an abundance of experience in every phase of litigation, including trial experience in the Superior Court of Justice and before various regulatory boards, we are thrilled to have the addition of his fresh perspective guiding the firm’s direction. Join us in congratulating Chris!
