The COVID-19 pandemic has created tremendous stress and uncertainty for Ontario families. In certain cases, this has led to additional tension arising from the need for the entire family to self-isolate, as well as increased stresses caused by layoffs and financial losses. All of this stress and anxiety can lead to family discord.
During the COVID-19 crisis, our family law lawyer, Melody MacDonell and her assistant/clerk are working remotely to provide family law services. Melody continues to meet new clients, virtually, for a free 30-minute consultation. Although the courts have suspended in-person hearings, urgent family law matters are still being heard by the court by video conference and/or teleconference. All other legal services are being provided without need for in person meetings, including mediation with counsel in attendance through virtual means.
This is a challenging time for families and obtaining legal services, but we continue to be available to work with our clients in order to meet their needs.
Melody provides a free half-hour consultation to her clients. Contact her today to set-up an appointment.
